Health Insurance

As participants in the current health care delivery environment, Wahid Medical Corporation strives to provide effective comprehensive care to our patient population. To help in this effort, we require the presentation of a current insurance card and appropriate co-payment at the time of each visit. We will bill you if we are notified by your insurance of any additional copays or patient responsibility. We ask that private insurance patients provide payment in full at the time of service.

Appointments

Office hours are Monday 8 am - 8 pm, Tuesday– Friday 8 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday 8 am - 3 pm. We see patients on an appointment basis also accept any walk-ins. Barring emergencies, we are committed to adhere to this schedule as closely as possible and will make every effort to inform patients when delays do occur. We ask for at least 24 hours advance notice for appointments that cannot be kept, and regret that we must charge for missed appointments. We ask that routine visits, business office calls, and medication refills be handled during our weekday during office hours.

Telephone Calls

To help maintain access and communication with our providers, Wahid Medical is instructed to take messages for all phone calls requiring the attention of our physicians or medical assistants. We will return these calls as quickly as possible. Any messages taken after 5:00 pm will be returned the following business day. If after hour calls (after 5:00 p.m. and weekend) are done patient must press option two and will be directed to medical Doctor.

Prescriptions

Prescription refill requests must be called to your pharmacy, not our office. This procedure must be followed even if there are no refills remaining on your existing prescription. Please allow five (5) business days to complete this process. Our office only processes prescription refills during weekday business hours.

NO CALL NO SHOW AND LATE CANCELATION POLICY

Wahid Medical values all of our patients and our patient’s needs. We attempt to provide care to all of our patients in a timely matter. We ask our patients to be respectful and courteous to fellow patients and their medical needs, as well as our doctor schedule. We ask that you are courteous in scheduling your medical appointment for a time when you do not have conflicting agendas. If you find that you do have a conflicting agenda and are unable to attend your appointment we require a 24 hour cancelation notice. This allows our office to fill your appointment time, with another patient in need of care.

NO CALL NO SHOWS ARE NOT TOLERATED IN OUR OFFICE. If you no call no show to your appointment two or more times we will release you from our care. If you cannot provide us with a 24 hour notice a lesser notice is required. This will allow us to do more care on a patient that is already here.

This policy applies to children and adults. If you cannot bring your child to their appointment, make secure arrangements for your child to attend there scheduled appointment.

IF YOU FAIL TO MAINTAIN OUR POLICY YOU WILL BE RELEASED FROM OUR CARE. You will be given 30 days to be treated for emergency care only. Once you notify us of your new doctor you records can be forwarded by signing a records release form.
